03-14-09 • I didn't get an opportunity to listen to the 'Prez' political remarks, but if indeed he made controversial comments on air then that would be regrettable. I think our celebrities need to take a cue frm people like Oliver Mtukudzi & Kirsty Coventry who desisted the temptation of being swayed by politics & remained focused on their careers. Today Tuku' shows in Uk are sold out - Kirsty was overwhelmed by the support she received in zim aftr the Beijing Olympics- that is what our celebrities must be, a unifying force thru entertainment not to further polarise an already bleeding society! We seek entertainment as a respite frm politics. There is no problem if the station get someone else to host a political programme as that can be intepreted as independent opinion but certainly not Itayi or Zed as that wld by default, suggest corporate views.

You have steered clear of politics up to now and we all liked this station because of that. DJ Tee and Tandy showed the differences between men and women over love. Tee being the questioning male and Tandy the hopeless romantic was interesting. Personally I feel like chivalry is dead -- men do not open doors anymore or chat women up. They force relationships now and women are left to do the guesswork. Men want that easy ride without fighting for the woman. The woman, in turn has become materialistic and too demanding. Society has indeed transformed from the days when we wrote the love letter and looked forward to receiving a response.

I had occasion to see him perform with Ilanga and Body and Soul music in Zimbabwe back in the early 90s and was very impressed by his talent and dedication. I think we should help keep his spirit alive and possibly release a posthomous album in his memory.

First you seem to discriminate and ridicle people affected by AIDS and secondly you seem to target your criticism on women - are you saying there are no male artists in similar circumstances? Why pick on women?

Whether it is ur distaste of people affected by AIDS or ur desire to ridicle women - it does not reflect well on discrimination and equality policy on TZradio as a corporation. 09-23-08 • Chaka D and your team -- don't get it twisted Whitney Houston is the best and she doesn't need to make a comeback. If you are talking about record sales, that is something else. There's a lot of new artists out there. But who sells forever? Even legends lose sales, e.g. Luther Vandross, Lionel Richie, etc. but don't think they have lost their flare. They still have it, that's what makes them legends. MJ is still a legend and yet his sales are down. He is still the best and does not need a comeback. He's 50, Whitney cannot be spared by age and cannot last forever, but she's still a legend. That's how I see it and any attempt to diminish her abilities will not work.

With migration, it is common sense that as human beings we should adapt to the environment surrounding us, but the problem is some people are averse to change. They are always locked in the past. Vanachandagwinyira.

The problem arises in a relationship if one person adapts to the new environment and the other does not. The decent thing to do in such circumstances wld be to go separate ways.

But then if the cuople is in the diaspora, it depends whose papers the couple is using, if its not about papers then its about insecurity.
