Simon aka DJ Kay-S grew up in Tübingen (born 1985). He currently lives in Mainz (Germany).
His passion for RnB and New Jack Swing began when he was 15 years old, when he heard an RnB/NJS - Mixshow at a german Black Music Station. "The Groove made me feel good," says DJ Kay-S.
"Since then, I tried to search for all the artists linked with NJS and the 80s/90s RnB Era and listened to their music," he adds.
"I was impressed by artists like New Edition, Guy, Mint Condition, Jodeci, but also new school artists like 112, Jagged Edge, Joe, Donnell Jones.
"At the age of 18, I started to dabble in Turntableism. It was love at first sight. There is so much space to be creative in this. I was inspired by DJs like DJ Mouss, DJ Abdel, DJ Snake, DJ Goldfingers.
"After producing some Mixtapes, I continued to do some Mixshows on various Webradio-Stations. There is now better place to share a common passion for music with people all over the world.
"When I first listened to TZRadio, I was immediately sure, that this is the right place for me. The whole team is so passionate about doin’ this. This is the real deal for RnB, HipHop and New Jack Swing."
